Our Minimalist Greeting Cards - Henna Gift Cards
Fill the inside of this card with words of love, appreciation, thanks and well wishes before passing onto a special person who you love and admire. We've crafted each card with 100% recycled cardboard so that we can do our part in keeping extra waste out of landfill as well as preventing more trees from being cut down.
The inspiration behind our minimalist greeting cards...
The intricate and swirling patterns of the traditional Indian henna tattoos are what inspired us to create this luxurious gift card design. The people of ancient Egypt and India have used henna designs to celebrate religious ceremonies, wedding celebrations and for simple body adornment for several centuries and so we wanted to create our own henna inspired design to represent these special occasions throughout history.

Our minimalist greeting cards - The story behind the art...
Henna, which is also called Mehndi is created from a plant named Lawsonia inermis. While it’s native to North Africa, it is cultivated widely in Egypt and India, hence the reason why the henna tattoos are so prominent in these parts. We decided to create this design in black ink to truly make the unique and intriguing patterns stand out. The black is also a representation of strength, power and mystery which we believe are all values which are showcased in many henna designs. In this creation, we’ve strived to reflect both the culture of India and Egypt as well as including hints of the Lawsonia inermis plant which is the reason why henna tattoos are possible in the first place.
Wondering how our minimalist greeting cards are created?
Using non-toxic pens and 100% recycled cardboard, we designed this Henna Gift Card in the summer sunshine and cool breeze. Fresh air and natural surroundings are what inspire us the most and are also the very two reasons why all of our designs are so creative, unique and intricate.
We took our time creating this fascinating card as we wanted it to truly reflect the culture of both India and Egypt while simultaneously remaining elegant. Once the initial design had been completed, we then took it to our local printer (we are passionate about supporting small and locals businesses and want to reduce our carbon miles as much as possible) to be transferred onto 100% recycled cardboard. Each gift card is then individually folded and then launched into our collection of sustainable and ethical giftware.

Ethical shipping & packaging - From Sophia. to you...
Once the eco-friendly, henna inspired cards are printed, we store them in our quaint little workshop until we receive an order from someone just like you. From there, we carefully bind a Henna Gift Card and a white envelope made from recycled materials with a strand of copper wire which gives each card a special little sparkle. With the card and envelope beautifully bundled together, we then place it inside a large envelope made from 100% recycled materials and use Sendle to ship the order straight to your door.

This is ensured by them contributing to reforestation and sustainability projects across the globe to offset the emissions created during deliveries.
