While holding this beautiful gift card made with smooth, 100% recycled card, you'll notice every intricate detail in this galaxy inspired design. We were urged to create this unique Interstellar Gift Card to showcase the astounding beauty of our solar system while simultaneously supporting our reforestation efforts through the use of sustainable and recycled materials.
The inspiration behind our quality greeting cards...
Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky… Inspiration for our art pieces is found in so many weird and wonderful places but for this eco gift card in particular, we were inspired by cosmic wonders and intergalactic delights. The meaning of “Interstellar” is to occur or be situated amongst the stars so we thought it would be fitting to include as many aspects from outer space into this design. Have many stars, planets, moons, meteors and black holes can you spot?
Our quality greeting cards - The story behind the art...
Close your eyes and imagine boarding a roaring rocket ship out into the great unknown. What would you find on your journey? Where would you end up? Lots of our customers were intrigued by our Galaxy Gift Card and so that is the reason why we started to work on another cosmic inspired creation. The nights sky that this design is based off is from our recent trip to Uluru which is in the middle of the Australian outback. We spent night after night, laying on the deserted road to peer up into the blackness, speckled with shining stars. Upon returning from the trip, we set to work to capture those moments into a single artwork.
Wondering how our quality greeting cards are created?
The Interstellar Gift Card was designed on a picnic rug amongst the swaying trees while we had photos from the trip to Uluru scattered all around us. It’s important to us that each and every artwork is created in a special way for a meaningful reason and that’s exactly why we share the story and inspiration behind every sustainable and ethical product that we create. Like our other gift card designs, we used non-toxic pens and recycled materials to create this piece of art. Upon completion, the design was transferred onto cards made from 100% recycled materials by our local printer and then each one individually hand folded.
Ethical shipping & packaging - From Sophia. to you...
A copper bow binds our cards and envelopes together before we package your order into an envelope made from recycled paper. Then we use Sendle to ship your Interstellar Gift Cards directly to your door while ensuring that the delivery is entirely carbon neutral. Sendle guarantee this by teaming up with South Pole Group to facilitate important conservation projects such as reforestation. With each order, we also remove 100 pieces of rubbish from the environment on your behalf and plant one native Australian tree for each shipment. That’s a huge positive environmental impact for such a small gift card!
