The inspiration behind our luxury napkins rings...
Beautiful dinner parties and fancy birthday celebrations were the inspiration behind our copper napkin rings. We created our set of botanically dyed linen napkins first and wanted to design a set of napkin rings that worked with them beautifully as well as being a way to add an elegant touch to any celebration. We specifically designed these napkin rings to be suitable for any occasion, whether it be a Sunday morning breakfast with family, an afternoon picnic with friends or a stunning celebration with your whole neighbourhood. We know that these copper napkin rings will inspire you to spend more time entertaining your family and friends and creating beautiful memories around the dinner table…
Our luxury napkin rings - The story behind the art...
The whole Sophia. brand is based around creating a positive difference for our environment and community and part of our mission is to create new and inspiring ways that recycling and zero waste aspects can be incorporated into everyday moments. We’ve accomplished this with our handcrafted copper napkin rings by designing them with 100% recycled materials, creating them to last forever and encouraging the use of reusable napkins rather than disposable ones. We know how fun it is to host dinner parties and make time to celebrate with friends and family and so we wanted to share these beautiful little creations with you to help make each celebration an extra little bit special…
Wondering how our luxury napkin rings are created?
For our entire copper homewares collection, we utilise 100% recycled copper wire which has been sourced from local electrical companies. Each piece of wire has to be stripped and untwisted before it can be used in our products and for our luxury napkin rings, we tend to utilise the shorter pieces of wire which cannot be used in our large copper bowls or plates.
This ensures that we are reducing waste and are utilising resources which would otherwise be considered useless. We use a round timber template to ensure that each napkin ring is the same size and wrap the copper wire around this multiple times until we’ve reached the desired thickness. From there we use a pretty weave pattern to finish the design off and clamp the end of the wire tightly closed so that it is unable to unravel and looks fantastic.

Carbon neutral shipping & packaging - From Sophia. to you...
After receiving your order for a set of copper napkin rings, we head into our workshop to begin creating them especially for you. Upon completion of these beautiful accessories, we then wrap them in a protective layer of newspaper and place them inside an envelope made entirely from recycled materials. We have chosen to package our napkin rings this way because it reduces waste caused by excessive packaging materials and ensures that we are able to keep useable and recycled materials out of landfill for another cycle. Inside the envelope, you’ll also find a handwritten note thanking you for your sustainable and ethical purchase and an exclusive invitation to join The Sophia. Sisterhood of Sustainability.

About the Collection - Luxury Napkin Rings
Our specialty is handcrafted homewares with a sustainable twist and our Copper Homewares Collection aligns perfectly with our mission to reduce waste and provide beautiful products.
Each copper bowl and plate has been created with 100% recycled copper wire and it takes up to 30 hours for one piece to be completed. It's a long process from the stripping of the wire, the untwisting, the re-twisting and then the weaving into the beautiful finished product but we believe that quality homewares come from hard work, attention to detail and quality control.
